The Loner's Sword

This is mine and Syncing's entry for the 'Skyrim Swordmaster' contest

About:
The sword is one handed (can be held in any hand) and its a unique weapon which can only be found in Stillborn Cave north-east on the world map. Its placed on the throne inside the cave. Getting there might proove a bit difficult but its worth it since the sword is very strong.

Graphic features include a baked normals map which makes the shading look really good. Textures are high-resolution to add to you gaming experience. It also includes a custom sheath, realistic shaders, working blood effects and an ingame description. If there are any bugs, post in the comments and it will be taken care of as soon as possible.

If you decide to watch the video, watch it in 1080p. I would strongly recommend testing it ingame.

    Yep,it is. But it really stands out from default Skyrim swords with all their ornamentic stuff,which gives a strange feeling of sword being unfinished

    I like to think that that is one of the things that makes it unique. The idea was a weapon that was supposedly made by some mysterious loner who picked up scraps of metal and leather and put them together to create something extremely deadly. The goal was never really to create a sword that looks like one from skyrim, there are plenty of those by default.

    Just asking but - what's so dull about it? Not that I'm pleased with the design since we had no clue what it should look like and nearly no ideas at all. But all in all it's a clean look without too much ornaments and useless stuff like that. It's a sword you could actually use in battle.

    200 Views and 10 downloads in 8 hours? Doesn't look like gamebanana is the right place for skyrim stuff.

Skyrim Swordmaster Contest

Great concept and attention to detail! This skin has a really great old/used feel to it with the damaged, grotty textures. However our judges felt the base could have done with a bit more work, and the textures (although very good) just weren’t to the same professional standard as kimonos. Great job and a worthy second place
